We are excited to share the opening of Bloch Bauers Gallery in North Bay. Our gallery is not just a place to look at art but a place to connect with the stories, skills, and traditions that shape our communities.
We highlight the strength and diversity of Northern Ontario’s artists, with a special focus on Indigenous voices and cultural practices. Alongside Canadian and international works, our exhibitions bring together tradition and contemporary expression. Every piece is shown with care and respect for the knowledge and creativity behind it.
The name Bloch Bauers comes from Ferdinand and Adele Bloch-Bauer, Viennese patrons whose lives became tied to Gustav Klimt’s portraits of Adele. Their art was seized during the Second World War and only reclaimed decades later after a long fight for justice. Their story is a reminder that art carries more than beauty. It holds resilience, freedom, and truth.
We also offer consignment opportunities for artists, collectors, and estates. Our goal is to provide fair representation and professional exhibitions that honour both tradition and new creative work.
Our team looks forward to welcoming you. Bloch Bauers is a space to learn, reflect, and share in the power of art.
